Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 (pay based on experience)

Description of Position The successful candidate will be a motivated and energetic person who seeks a challenging opportunity in a fast-paced environment. The individual in this position creates and edits electronic, video and printed marketing projects. The designer maintains strict timelines, has a keen eye for detail, is able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in an often-stressful atmosphere. They work closely with the buying teams, coordinators and management to ensure a smooth production process, as well as with Costco central marketing and will support the daily operations of Costco Travel marketing. They will also contribute to the team by providing input, feedback and constructive assessment on designs.
Job Duties/Essential Functions Monitors master planner file for projects and creates them according to the schedule.
Creates comps and mockups of proposed ideas for marketing campaigns, electronic and print materials.
Manages production due dates and timelines.
Creates and supplies final collected artwork and web pages for advertising on Costco.com, CostcoTravel.com, The Costco Connection, and a variety of print vendors for printed materials.
Creates and edits advertising with PRN for video advertising in warehouse major's area.
Creates special projects such as services kiosk panels and other warehouse display signage.
Provides support as needed for marketing manager and Costco Travel marketing communications.
Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications Required: Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of project ownership.
Hands-on experience and fluency using the Adobe Creative Suite.
Ability to work under pressure.
Portfolio samples that demonstrate expertise and proficiency in print, web pre-press, and production techniques.
Demonstrates effective use and understanding of visual design, page layout, and typography.
Ability to produce and complete numerous projects with varying deadlines.
Ability to recognize problems, identify solutions, and work independently.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities.
Basic understanding of proofreading, editing, and Costco language standards.
Strong written and verbal and interpersonal skills.
Exhibits a proactive approach to problem solving and collaboration.
Positive attitude, can take direction and critique well.
Recommended: Experience in the Google suite.
Experience in Figma, Adobe Express, Dreamweaver, and HTML.
Experience and knowledge of Adobe Premiere, animation, and After Effects.
Project Management software knowledge and understanding.
Ability to represent the marketing department professionally to vendors and corporate colleagues.
Experience with video production in a Mac-based environment.
Understand corporate marketing’s policies and procedures.
Experience in online marketing and graphic design.
Formal training at an accredited graphic design school.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
