Role/Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (Resource Team / Floating)
Shift: 12-Hour Days (0700 - 1900), 36 hours/week
Location/Facility: Teaching Hospital, Level III Trauma Center (457 beds)
Radius Rule: Permanent address must be 50+ miles from the home unit.
Unit & Patient Details

Unit Size: 28 beds
Patient Types: Orthopedic surgery, Spine surgery, Trauma, Vascular surgery, and Medical overflow.
Required Skills: General post-surgical care (incision care, drains, chest tubes, wound vacs, trachs, NG tubes, braces/traction).
Unit Culture: You must be comfortable floating to multiple facilities within Region 1. Mid-Shift Floats: If you are required to float mid-shift, you will remain on the clock and be paid for your travel time between facilities.

IV Pumps: BD Alaris
Support Staff Available: CNAs (trained in phlebotomy, Foleys, and IV removal), IV/VAT Team, 24/7 RT, 24/7 Hospitalists, Remote Telemetry Monitoring, Behavioral Response Team (BERT), and Rapid Response/Code Teams.
Experience: Minimum of 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience required.
First-Time Travelers: Not preferred, but the facility will consider them.
Scheduling, Time Off, & Holidays

Weekends: Every other weekend rotation.
Holidays: High expectations—travelers are required to work 75% of holidays .
Requested Time Off (RTO): Up to 6 days can be approved (excluding holidays). If RTO causes you to miss contracted hours, you must add time to the end of the contract to make them up.
Hospital NEO + 2 days of departmental orientation.
