Bank Teller - Immediate Hire

The Teller supports daily branch operations by assisting customers with basic account needs, maintaining a secure and organized work area, and working collaboratively with the branch team to deliver a consistent and positive customer experience.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesVerify important information including endorsements, dates, and identification, to cash or deposit checks.Conduct various banking transactions, including cash checks, accepting deposits, withdrawing funds and issuing customer receipts.Prepare, verify, and issue cashier's checks.Balance cash drawer daily according to established procedures and report any teller cash differences immediately to the direct supervisor.Balance all vaults at the end of the day.Answer Branch phones and assist customers.Reach out to customers to establish and grow relationships.Attend and contribute to staff and Bank meetings.Demonstrate a helpful, friendly, and team-player attitude.Follow established security protocols including proper robbery/hold-up procedures.Maintain the teller area to ensure the safety of all negotiable instruments and confidential records.Travel to other locations as needed.Work varying schedules based on branch hours including the Saturday rotation.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Thorough understanding of customer service and Bank products/services.Ability to remain friendly and calm in stressful situations.Above average knowledge of fundamental mathematics.Education/Experience/Licenses/CertificationsHigh school diploma or recognized equivalent required.1+ years of customer service experience preferred.Experience in retail sales preferred.Experience in a professional financial environment is preferred.Cash handling and transactional experience preferred.Bi-lingual preferred.Equipment/SoftwareAbility to operate general office equipment, banking equipment, and banking systems.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
