Travel RN - Stepdown/Telemetry
Location
Portsmouth, NH
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with 3-12 hour shifts and every other weekend requirements in 4-week blocks.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Travel RN for our Stepdown/Telemetry unit, specializing in the care of cardiac procedure patients. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting and possess a valid Virginia license or compact license at submission. BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
Responsibilities
Provide post-operative nursing care for cardiac patients, including those recovering from STEMI, NSTEMI, PCI, and other cardiac procedures.
Monitor patient vitals and manage telemetry for patients on the unit.
Administer medications and perform nursing interventions as necessary.
Participate in bedside shift rounds and handoffs, ensuring personal connections with patients.
Utilize advanced equipment, including IV pumps, Hiflo systems, and BiPap machines.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a hospital setting.
Valid Virginia RN license or compact license at submission.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
