Join our dedicated team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Northwest Campus as a Housekeeper! In this vital role, you'll ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of Outdoor Building offices and clinics, performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning restrooms. Your efforts will help maintain a safe environment by replenishing supplies, removing trash, and reporting maintenance needs to supervisors. This position is classified as essential personnel and may require overtime to meet departmental demands. High School diploma/GED

Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
Proficiency in using cleaning supplies and maintaining equipment.
Strong customer service attitude and effective communication skills.
Ability to travel between our building offices and clinics.
Two (2) years of housekeeping/janitorial experience.

Cleans bathroom basins, fixtures, mirrors, stall doors, toilets, showers, vents, and stocks bathroom with soap, toilet tissue, and paper towels.
Clean areas requiring special cleaning methods (Patient beds, exam tables, IV poles, wheelchairs, carts, and surgical lighting) by use of specific cleansers, sterilized equipment, and/or disposing of contaminated wastes.
Collects and sends dirty linens and towels to laundry.
Clean vertical and horizontal surfaces (Seating, table-tops, desks, sinks, doors, dispensers, water fountains, vents, bedside tables, IV poles, light switches, floors, walls, windows, etc.).
Serves as liaison between all customers, patients, nurses, researchers, and students.
Participates in internal activities and/or training as required or suggested by the institution/department.
