Head of Supply Chain and Procurement

BCEI has an immediate opening for a Purchasing Manager to oversee the procurement process for our large-scale commercial construction projects. In this position, you will play a crucial role in managing the purchasing of large-scale electrical and mechanical equipment for data center construction. You will collaborate with engineers, construction managers, and other team members to ensure a successful and streamlined process from conception to site delivery.
Purchasing Manager Duties and Responsibilities
Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with qualified suppliers and subcontractors.
Create and manage project specific equipment procurement logs.
Develop mechanical and electrical equipment bid packages.
Document management of the vendor onboarding and master subcontract agreement process.
Review and analyze equipment vendor proposals for accuracy and scope completion.
Support Project Engineers in coordination of the vendor award process.
Collaborate with engineers, construction managers, and vendors to coordinate equipment delivery schedules.
Manage the creation and distribution of vendor purchase agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and project needs.
Create and manage project specific equipment tracking schedules.
Work closely with Preconstruction Managers to accurately capture equipment costs.
Manage the hand-off of the equipment delivery schedules to the construction team.
Evaluate vendor performance through cost, quality, and reliability metrics.
Monitor and analyze market trends to support accurate budgeting and forecasting.

Purchasing Manager Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
General knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
Solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and processes.
The ability to interpret construction plans and specifications accurately.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues, propose solutions, and resolve challenges promptly.
The ability to communicate effectively with others in a timely manner.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with project teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Works productively in a high-pressure environment.
Strong all-round knowledge with technology.
