Registered Nurse (RN) - Women's Services

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Women's Services team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of nursing interventions and provide high-quality care to patients throughout their maternity journey.

Role Responsibilities:

Implement and monitor patient care plans, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care effectively.

Communicate patient conditions accurately to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.

Assist patients with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation.

Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate comprehensive patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support for spiritual and psychosocial needs.

Evaluate the educational needs of patients and families, providing tailored education based on age, culture, and circumstances.

Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Circulate during C-sections and assist with deliveries as needed.

Ensure adherence to protocols for the recovery and care of surgical patients.

Attend to neonates in the C-section suite, performing complete assessments post-delivery.

Participate in ongoing education, including fetal monitoring certification and other relevant training.

Identify and communicate necessary information to patients and physicians efficiently.

Qualifications:

Active RN license in Alabama or multi-state compact state.

Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and Labor & Delivery.

Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN (must be current and valid).
