As a Security Officer Armed Swing Shift in Detroit, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and community members. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to incidents with integrity. Position Type: Full Time

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, clergy, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at cultural institution locations.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.

Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.

Have at least one year of security-related experience.

Possession of a valid firearms permit is preferred.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
