The SDUHSD is in need of substitute custodians to provide coverage when permanent staff are absent or when additional custodial services are needed. SB 848 COMPLIANCE - EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2026

Effective January 1, 2026, and in accordance with California Education Code Section 44051(a)(1), any applicant for a non-teaching position must disclose a complete list of every school district, county office of education, charter school, state special school and diagnostic center operated by the department of education, and private school that the applicant has previously been an employee of, including full-time, part-time, or substitute roles. Employment with San Dieguito Union High School District is contingent upon successful completion of post-offer background check, fingerprinting, physical exam including tuberculosis, drug and alcohol screening, and an Oath of Allegiance. At this time, the District will reimburse custodians for the cost involved in obtaining a fingerprint clearance once all clearances are received.
