Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a minimum of 5 years of PACU/inpatient RN experience, Epic proficiency, and an active CA RN license.
Details

Day Surgery Unit setting serving both adult and pediatric patients
Role encompasses pre-op, PACU, and post-op areas
Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts with variable start times between 0600–0930
No on-call or weekend requirements
Closing shift (0930–1800) may require staying late if a patient does not meet discharge criteria
Some 23-hour stay patients may be booked with only 24–48 hours advance notice, requiring schedule flexibility
Epic EMR experience required
Requirements

Active CA RN license required
Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS
Minimum 5 years of experience as an inpatient PACU RN and/or in an outpatient surgical setting
Minimum 3 years of critical care experience required
Minimum 2 years of experience in an ASC (ambulatory surgery center) setting required
Proficiency with Epic EMR required
Must be able to work with both adult and pediatric patient populations
Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
Additional Information

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care coordination, direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
Only one holiday RTO request will be approved per contract
