The Service Operations Director is responsible for operations, profitability, performance results, overseeing department management, and customer satisfaction in Service Operations.Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has direct supervisory responsibilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Works to improve operations in the Service departments.Oversees hiring and discipline decisions in Service departmentsWorks closely with all department heads in the dealershipPlans and implements successful Service OperationsAssesses the service department operations.Works with Service department managers to improve operations, performance, profitability.Oversees training and supervision of Service Operations management and employeesOversees pricing and inventory in service departments.Oversees gross profit and related departmental expenses.Conducts daily, weekly, and monthly meetings.Approves schedules for department employees and managers.Works to motivate department employees and managers.Maintains good working relationship with factory(s).Attends required manager meetings.Maintains effective employee relationsMaintains CSI at or above Company standardsMaintains an organized, clean and safe work areaParticipates in required trainingFollows Safeguards rules and regulations.Demonstrates the Company’s Core ValuesComplies with Company policies and proceduresObserves all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.Other duties as assignedQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ability to utilize the Dealership Management System and other web based applications utilized for operations.Communication Skills:Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and companypersonnel.Attendance Expectations:The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit.Environment Demands:Duties are performed in the service and parts departments. Will generally work in an office, but will also be required to work throughout the dealership. Frequently interacts with customers and employees, and managers from various departments in the dealership. May be exposed to loud noise, vibration and other service and repair conditions. Work includes movement in and out of cars and working in various physical positions.Verbal and Writing Ability:Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
