Let’s shape the future of customer engagement together!How You Will Make an ImpactAs a Software Engineer II on the Developer Platform Team, you will help improve the Scala, Bazel, and CI foundations that Iterable engineers use every day to build, test, and ship services. Your work will make the codebase easier to change, the build graph easier to reason about, and CI more reliable under real production-scale usage.This is a hands-on engineering role for someone with a solid programming background who enjoys working close to the codebase, build system, and developer workflow. You will independently own moderate-complexity projects, contribute directly to the Bazel build platform, core Scala libraries shared by services, and partner with product engineering teams to turn recurring developer pain into durable platform improvements. You will also help shape how Iterable uses AI-assisted and agentic engineering practices to make complex development work faster, safer, and more repeatable.Improve the core developer workflow: Contribute to shared engineering foundations: Help improve the feedback loops that keep development moving while preserving quality and release confidence.Turn recurring developer pain points into durable tools, documentation, automation, and platform improvements.Apply AI to real engineering problems: Use tools like Cursor, Claude, and agent-based workflows to accelerate complex platform work, automate repetitive tasks, and create safer developer experiences.What We're Looking ForWe prioritize strong engineering fundamentals, practical systems thinking, and the ability to use modern AI tooling thoughtfully.
