Follow order specifications/special instructions and ensure all production materials are at cutter prior to set-up.
Determine the best utilization of master sheet, cutting to customers' specifications.
Set up and operate cutting machine with high proficiency.
Operate assigned cutter by performing required adjustments, maintenance, and maintaining consistent quality.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all company safety policies.
Verify dimensions of cut parts match work order.
Identify poor quality material and notify supervisor.
Observe operation of machine to detect malfunctions such as jamming wrinkling or tearing of material.
Replace worn cutting blades.
Searches out improvement methods to improve product/process quality and reduce waste.
Perform general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within department/group and assists other areas as required.
Conduct regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective action on equipment to achieve maximum machine performance based on equipment specifications and acquired knowledge of machine operations.
Inspect finished product before releasing to internal or external customers.
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
Learn and demonstrate basic PC skills reporting production
Understand how to setup cutting software
Read and follow work orders and production schedules
Accept direction from supervisors, management and peers to improve quality and performance
Work together with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance
