Civil Construction Engineering I

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a leading power engineering consultant firm that provides engineering, system planning and studies, technical consultation, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning/testing and construction services to electric utilities, energy developers and industrials throughout the U.ECI has an opening for a civil engineer . Technical focus will be on structural engineering and/or site (civil) design for substations and power delivery facilities.

Structural engineering responsibilities include development of design criteria, structure design, foundation design, building design, and related works. Structure design primarily consists of standard shape steel structure, specification of tubular steel structures, fire walls, and related facilities. Foundation design primarily consists of drilled pier, shallow/pad, and spread footing foundations. Civil Engineer should possess ability to learn and apply various software design packages such as Visual Analysis, STAAD.Site (Civil) engineering responsibilities include development of design criteria; grading & drainage design; access road design (paved and unpaved sections, vehicle maneuvering modeling, haul road analysis, etc.); water storm drawing design; ACAD Civil 3D experience preferred.
Depending on experience and interest, Civil Engineer may perform project management functions including scoping; project monitoring & control; and project reporting.

Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Civil Engineering; strong organization and planning skills; commitment to quality and accuracy; and a willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules.
