We are looking for a confident, persuasive, customer-focused Service Advisor who knows how to build relationships, uncover customer needs, explain recommendations clearly, and move the service process forward. Greet customers promptly and professionally, creating a welcoming and confident first impression
Build relationships with customers and establish trust throughout the service experience
Listen carefully to customer concerns and ask questions to accurately understand vehicle symptoms and service needs
Obtain and document detailed customer and vehicle information
Inspect and evaluate customer concerns and communicate findings to the appropriate service team members
Present recommendations confidently and help customers make informed decisions about their vehicle
Identify additional maintenance and repair opportunities based on the vehicle's condition, manufacturer recommendations, and customer needs
Prepare accurate repair orders, estimates, and supporting documentation
Keep customers informed throughout the service process and proactively communicate changes or delays
Monitor vehicles through the service pipeline and follow up with technicians and other team members to keep repairs moving
Prioritize and clearly communicate customer concerns and repair needs to technicians
Coordinate with technicians, parts, dispatch, and management to support an efficient workflow
Review completed repairs and recommendations with customers in a clear and professional manner
Follow up with customers after service to ensure concerns were addressed and identify future service needs
Maintain accurate customer, vehicle, repair, and communication records
Follow dealership, manufacturer, warranty, safety, and service department policies and procedures
Is confident, persuasive, and comfortable talking with customers
Naturally builds relationships and earns customer trust
Knows how to ask questions, listen, and uncover the customer's real needs
Can explain technical information in a way customers can easily understand
Is comfortable recommending services and asking customers to move forward with needed repairs
Takes ownership of the customer experience from write-up through delivery
Communicates confidently with customers, technicians, and dealership leadership
Is organized and able to manage multiple customers and repair orders at once
Understands that trust and transparency are essential to long-term customer relationships
Takes pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience
Previous automotive service advisor or related automotive customer-service experience preferred
Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills
Ability to understand and communicate automotive maintenance and repair needs
Ability to use dealership technology, repair-order systems, and other computer-based tools
Ability to work a dealership service schedule, including Saturdays as required
