Engineering Recruiter (Aerospace and Defense)

Waltonen is actively seeking a Corporate Recruiter to join our team!
Conduct full-cycle recruitment for all candidates, including reference checks.
Make daily outbound calls to candidates for phone screens.
Assess skill sets and match candidates to current openings via phone conversations.
Create and send candidate summaries to the appropriate hiring managers.
Coordinate, schedule, and conduct interviews across locations based on candidate and hiring manager availability.
Oversee the onboarding process for all new employees, including conducting orientation sessions, managing new hire paperwork, and negotiating and extending offers of employment.
Maintain job postings on various internet sites (Monster, Michigan Talent, LinkedIn, etc.).
Manage the ATS database (JazzHR).
Provide weekly recruiting updates to upper management.
Provide insights on industry trends (compensation, benefits, hiring, etc.) Utilize creative search methods to identify top candidates in today's competitive marketplace.
Build a pipeline of candidates through networking and maintaining effective relationships.
Attend and organize recruiting events as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience

• 2+ years of related recruiting experience
• Experience utilizing a common applicant tracking system
• Engineering and/or manufacturing recruiting experience
• Ability to travel between Warren and Troy locations based on interview schedules

Experience working in the defense, government, automotive, or aerospace industries
Experience with full-cycle recruitment
