HR Generalist/Employee Relations/Payroll

Under the direction of the Head of Human Resources - Canada, the Human Resources Generalist (QC/ON) provides operational support, to all employees, to ensure accurate and efficient workflow and contribution to the Human Resources department within a matrixed organization. providing Human Resources, payroll, benefits, project management & communications, pension, Health & Safety, profit sharing, general reporting, auditing, operational and administrative support.

Yes Key Responsibilities/What You Do: Processing of Human Resources, payroll, benefits, pension and profit sharing information, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and compliance.

Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding Human Resources, payroll, benefits, pension, profit sharing and Health & Safety.

Act as a point of contact for managers inquiries regarding Human Resources, payroll, benefits, pension, profit sharing and Health & Safety and employee relations.

Collaborate with Regional teams, including but not limited to Human Resources, Finance/Treasury, Legal and Compliance.

Collaborate with external legal teams in Ontario and Quebec.

Assist with policy development, updates and providing employee communicational updates.

Assisting with Year End, payroll audits according to generated reports, billing statements, government remittances, human resources and payroll systems.

Full-cycle recruitment processing; prescreening resumes, preparing telephone and/or virtual/in-person interviews, candidate communication and completing background checks.

Collaborating with post secondary institutions pertaining to the Internship Programs, with Group Human Resources, pertaining to the Allianz Trade Internship Program, and assisting with managing the interns.

Processing of new hire information, employee changes and termination information, pertaining to Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits and IT requirements.

Preparing the new hire on-boarding and conducting orientations.

Generating, reviewing and revising scheduled Human Resources, benefits, pension, Health & Safety, communications, profit sharing and other ad hoc reports as requested.

Maintaining the L&D Group programs.

Assisting the Office Coordinator with preparing the Allianz Trade in Canada newsletter and Human Resources Communication.

Collaborating with the Office Coordinator regarding the corporate cell phone and tablet process, related to new hires and terminations.

Translating English/French Human Resources documents.

Prepare PowerPoints presentations and present in the absence of the Head of Human Resources - Canada

Other duties and special projects as required.

Key Requirements/What You Bring: 3-5 years in Human Resources Support role - required.

Experience with Human Resources and Payroll systems - required

Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive material.

Post-Secondary Degree specializing in Human Resources or Business Administration

Human Resources or Payroll designations - strongly preferred

Proficiency in English and French is required for this position, as it involves both oral and written communication with our internal partners, clients across Canada, and other Allianz Trade teams located throughout the Americas region and as per Quebec legislation.
