Day shift, 3 - 12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
Job Description
We are seeking qualified candidates with a strong background in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing. The job requirements and qualifications are non-negotiable.
Requirements
Must have at least 12 months of permanent medical-surgical/telemetry nursing experience.
Must possess a permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
Current American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
Willingness to obtain the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to starting the position.
One recent professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required for qualification.
Additional Information
ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required for continued employment.
All required certifications must be active and in hand at the time of submission; pending certifications will not be accepted.
Nurses and Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) are exempt from nicotine-free requirements.
All other travelers must be nicotine-free, and a negative 10-panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen is required within 12 months of start.
Background checks will be conducted, and any unresolved cases will disqualify applicants.
Contract extensions may be available for a period of 18 months, followed by a 6-month break requirement.
Annual hands-on competency requirements are applicable for continuous contractors and those returning the following calendar year.
