CNC Programmers - Manufacturing

Experienced CNC MachinistWe are looking for experienced CNC machinists to join a growing team. This position is responsible for the set-up and operation of numeric control/CNC machines while inspecting to assure that tolerances and specifications are maintained.Duties include, but are not limited to:Set up machines for a variety of parts using engineering drawingRun a variety of NC/CNC machines without assistanceChange machine tool as necessaryInspect parts to required tolerances and specifications per in-process inspection and/or engineering drawing and/or visual requirements. Operator finishes parts to appropriate quality standards.Utilization of hoist/overhead crane/forklift to position castings in workspaceOperation of hand/pneumatic toolsPerform routine maintenance to equipmentPerform minor assembly functions as requiredMaintain acceptable levels of productionReport equipment and/or material problemsMake program changesOperate a laser trackerWork safely and maintain general cleanliness of area with use of broom, shovel, powered floor sweeper, vacuumRecord data/metrics - Accurately enter time and labor reporting dailyLocation: Granite City, IL Position type: Full time, Evaluation Hire Pay: $30.87/hrQualifications2 years' experience in a manufacturing position preferredMachining Technology certification from SWIC or equivalent trade/vocational schoolHigh School Diploma/GED or international equivalentCapability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings/sketchesBasic math and reading skillsUnderstanding of the Cartesian coordinate system (X-Y axis)Basic understanding of Geometric tolerancing and basic machine shop practicesAbility to use micrometers and other precision measuring gages and equipmentAbility to work independentlyCapability to use hand tools safely
