Registered Nurse-MedSurg Oncology-Full-Time- Night shift

Charge RN - MedSurg, OrthoSpine, Nights at Piedmont HealthCare

We are seeking a Charge RN for our MedSurg and Orthopedic Spine night shift at Piedmont HealthCare in Augusta, GA. The position is full‑time, covering three 12‑hour night shifts (7 pm–7 am) per week with a sign‑on bonus available.

Responsibilities

Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care, handles operational issues during shift, provides clinical care as needed, communicates patient care and staff concerns to appropriate leaders, and serves as a resource for staff guidance.

Qualifications

Education

Graduate from a nursing program – Required

Bachelors Degree – Preferred

Work Experience

1. year of nursing experience in a hospital setting – Required
2. years or more of nursing experience in a hospital setting – Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

RN – Registered Nurse – Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure – Required

BCLS – Basic Life Support – Required

Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum) – Required

Additional Licenses and Certifications

ACLS Certification (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Surgical Services including Labor and Delivery) – Required

PALS Certification (Emergency Department) – Required

Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification prior to independent chemotherapy administration (Infusion/Oncology) – Required

NRP by the end of orientation period (Women’s Services: Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, NAT, Nursery) – Required

AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring program within 12 months of start date (Labor and Delivery) – Required

PEARS Certification (at Piedmont Athens Hospital) – Required

PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services) – Required

ACLS and PALS Certification (Emergency Department) – Required

ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services) – Required

Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 30 days to obtain the PALS certification – Required
