A $750 sign-on bonus is being offered to eligible new employees hired into our PCA positions.
Evenings: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

• Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM / 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Mandatory weekend shifts every month
• Rotating holiday schedule

The Center for Operative Care (CPC) is a 33-bed unit. In collaboration with the nursing team, the Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists in preparing patients for surgery and recovering patients who are going home on the same day as their surgery. The CPC also cares for a small population of psychiatry patients receiving ECT treatments. It is a fast paced unit with approximately 120 patients per day coming through the unit for elective surgery and about 60 - 70 patients who recover and go home after surgery.

Experience working in patient care/elder care 0-1 years preferred

• Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) supports the multidisciplinary healthcare team in providing safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care. PCA assists patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support, while promoting comfort and maintaining patient dignity. Responsibilities also include monitoring and documenting vital signs, obtaining EKGs, drawing blood, and responding promptly to patient requests while safeguarding confidentiality and always ensuring patient safety.

• Listen to patient concerns and reports changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly.
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification) preferred
Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (Massachusetts) preferred
Nursing Assistant (LNA - Massachusetts) preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology
Strong patient/customer service skills
Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate electronic medical records efficiently.
