Oncology Care Registered Nurse Travel

Registered Nurse - Infusion, traveling assignment in the Outpatient Infusion Unit. Weekly pay: $2,566 to $2,706 per week. Shift: day shift, 8-hour days, 5 days per week. This assignment is in a hospital setting and requires chemo-certified practice for adult and geriatric patients. Locals within a 75-mile radius may be considered at local rate. • Contract duration: Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 5 days per week
• Outpatient Infusion Unit; infusion chemotherapy for adult and geriatric patients
• locals may be considered at local rate

Administer outpatient infusion chemotherapy and related therapies to adult and geriatric patients in the infusion unit

• Administer medications and chemotherapy with attention to safety protocols and infection control
• Operate infusion-related equipment and systems: document accurately
• Document treatment and observations in the electronic medical record (EPIC); communicate with the care team via appropriate channels (Ascom)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (oncology, neurology, hematology, and nursing) to coordinate care and provide patient education
• assist with blood product administration according to unit policy; Minimum one year of experience in outpatient infusion nursing
• Ability to work in an outpatient infusion unit with adults and geriatric patients
• Proficiency with EPIC, Omnicell, Ascom, and glucometer; Willingness to adhere to unit policies, safety standards, and chemotherapy handling guidelines
