Nurse Residency Program

The 12-month Nurse Residency Program at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT supports newly graduated RNs or RNs with less than one year of experience as they transition from entry-level practice to professional competence. The program provides structured education, clinical support, and guided experience to build confidence and core nursing skills.

Graduated or projected to graduate from an accredited nursing program

Less than 12 months of RN experience

Valid Connecticut RN license required before orientation. *RN license number must be provided on the Monday before orientation

All New Graduate RN roles are Full-Time (36 hrs/week)

Focus on quality, safety, communication, and professional growth

Participation in an Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) project

Opportunities across a variety of specialty units (based on availability).
