We deliver this through our commitment to our purpose, through our passion for what we do, and pride for what we contribute to which is the health and wellbeing of children and their family.Registered Nurse (RN) administers skilled nursing care to patients (0-45 years) requiring professional nursing services, and teaches the patient, caregiver/ family and other members of the nursing team. These nursing services are performed in accordance with the physician's orders and the established plan of care, under the direction and supervision of the location.Hiring RequirementsA graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.Holds a current nursing license in good standing as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice (or a compact state with the state) in which he/she practices.Have a minimum of six (6) months recent, verifiable RN nursing experience in a pediatric acute care or home health setting. A minimum of one (1) year of recent, verifiable, acute care nursing experience as an RN preferred.Have a minimum of six (6) months recent, verifiable RN nursing experience in an acute care or home health setting if servicing patients over the age of 20. A minimum of one (1) year of recent, verifiable, acute care nursing experience as an RN preferred.Must be professional and able to effectively communicate both orally and in writingAbility to read, write and effectively communicate in English.Essential ResponsibilitiesDemonstrates a working knowledge base of the patient's unique response to illness and provides an environment that will foster optimum growth and development.Teaches and assists the family/caregiver in functioning independently in the care of their child/adult.Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes of patient care, consults with other disciplines as required and adjusts nursing care processes as necessary to assure optimal patient care.Assists in developing the Nursing Care Plan through assessment of patient's needs. This assessment will include a complete systems review, safety assessment, nutritional evaluation, medication profile, and environmental issues. Plan of Care is developed with the Clinical Supervisor, patient, family, and physician. The plan of care is based on the physician's orders.Reevaluates patient's needs with respect to the physical assessment, the plan of care, and the patient's response to same.
