Hours/Week: 36 hours/week (4 days on, 3 days off)

Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Experience: Minimum 1 year ICU RN experience (First-time travelers require 2+ years of perm staff RN experience, separated for 1 year if previously employed as perm staff)

Hourly Pay Rate: $52.26/hour

What You'll Do

Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU, including support for cardiac, neuro, and medical-surgical cases
Manage complex patient needs, including art line management, central lines, NIHSS assessments, EVD drains, and chest tubes
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, including hospitalists, RT, phlebotomy, and support staff
Administer medications, perform assessments, and ensure patient safety and comfort
Float to MedSurg units when needed, with ratios typically 1:5–6 patients
Maintain EMR documentation using Meditech Expanse
Adhere to hospital protocols for PPE, patient safety, and infection control
What You Need
Required:

Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year ICU RN experience (2+ years for first-time travelers)
Ability to pass EKG competency exam for compliance
Comfortable working in high-acuity, critically ill patient environments
Flexibility to float and work rotating weekends and holidays
Preferred:

Experience with art lines, chest tubes, and neuro assessments
Prior ICU travel experience
