What You'll Do

• Provide specialized nursing care in a 6-bed Pediatric ICU setting
• Titrate medications including pressors, insulin, Heparin, and sedation agents
• Manage patients with diagnoses like MS, DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, post-surgical neuro cases, and more
• Perform procedures such as PIV placement, CVL, telemetry monitoring, wound care, drains, and wound vacs
• Support patient assessments and ongoing care for diverse pediatric critical cases
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT, hospitalists, intensivists, and resource nurses
• Maintain documentation using Meditech Expanse EMR

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or the ability to obtain one
• At least 2 years of PICU experience; experience cross-training in adult ICU and Med/Tele preferred
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; NRP preferred
• Strong clinical skills in telemetry, IV therapy, titrating meds, and patient assessments
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
• Flexibility to float to adult ICU or Med/Tele if qualified and approved
