What You'll Do

• Provide expert nursing care to pediatric patients in a PICU setting, including those with MS, DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, and post-op cardio/neuro diagnoses
• Titrate medications such as pressors, insulin, Heparin, and pain meds, including pumps and drips
• Perform invasive procedures, including PIV, CVL placements, and peripheral blood draws
• Monitor telemetry and manage complex patient needs with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including intensivists, RT, and hospitalists
• Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain patient safety and comfort throughout your shift
• Support patient families and document all care accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR

What You Need
Required:

• Valid RN license in State of practice
• Minimum 2 years PICU experience, with ability to float to Adult ICU/Med/Tele (cross-trained preferred)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certification; NRP preferred
• Ability to pass an EKG competency test prior to arrival
• Proficiency with PIV, CVL, telemetry, wound care, drains, and wound vacs
• Comfort with titrating pressors, Insulin, Heparin, and sedation agents
• Strong clinical skills and attention to safety

Preferred:

• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR and Alaris infusion pumps
• Prior travel experience and flexibility to work the scheduled shifts and rotations
