Schedule
Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a 36-bed Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry unit. This unit specializes in the treatment of neurologic diagnoses and serves as a telemetry overflow unit. The RN will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care, monitor vital signs, and assess patient conditions.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor patients with neurologic conditions, including those requiring continuous bedside EEG and telemetry.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to plan and evaluate care.
Assist with procedures and manage post-operative care for neurosurgical patients.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 2 years Med-Surg/Telemetry experience.
Neurology experience is required.
Current RN license in Maryland or compact state.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; TCRN preferred.
Basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias is mandatory prior to orientation.
Experience in CVA/acute stroke care, pre/post-neurosurgery, and trauma care is required.
