Head of Facilities and Maintenance

This role oversees the maintenance team (4-5 people) responsible for all building maintenance, upgrades, build-outs, and continual improvement for 6 distribution/repair facilities within the West Chester area.

1st Shift: 7:00AM - 2:30PM, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

Schedule, assign and perform duties in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, heating / cooling, ventilation, roofing and security.

Inspect buildings, sites and equipment for needed repair / maintenance.

Respond to emergency maintenance requests. Troubleshoot issues to determine cause and solution.

Assist with construction project management.

Act as point of contact for custodial team.

Maintain records and prepare reports (cost analysis, proposals, etc.).

Support CTDI’s sustainability initiatives.

Work with all levels of management to define and prioritize work flow.

Required Skills

5+ years of experience with building management and/or maintenance.

Experience managing a team of maintenance technicians.

Working knowledge of basic carpentry, electrical, appliances, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, drywall, boilers, as well as grounds maintenance

Experience working with outside vendors and contractors

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Commercial electrical experience preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Proven ability to diagnose and repair maintenance issues / turn projects timely and efficiently.

Schedule flexibility –some travel as needed, on-call for emergency situations (some locations are 24 hour facilities).
