The Arc of Cumberland and Perry Counties in Mechanicsburg and New Cumberland, PA is seeking to hire a full time entry-level awake overnight Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care for the individuals we serve with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The lack of services for people with disabilities led a group of parents to band together in 1953 to form The Arc of Cumberland and Perry Counties (CPARC). As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you support people with disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible. You assist with activities of daily living such as household maintenance, transportation, administration of medications, grocery shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and more. While supporting people with disabilities, you build strong relationships while learning their individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning, motivation, likes, and dislikes. One full time 30 hours a week Awake Overnight position , mostly weekend hours in New Cumberland.
A full time 7 days on / 7 days off rotation , Awake Overnight position working 10:00 PM-8:00 AM and 8:00 PM-8:00 AM in Mechanicsburg.
