About the Position

Travel RN – Surgical Telemetry

Lewisville, TX | Inpatient Surgical Telemetry Unit
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 19-bed Surgical Telemetry unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
Perform and assist with ambulation of patients and wound care as needed
Operate Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn vital signs machines in accordance with unit protocols
Document patient information and care accurately using Meditech EMR
Collaborate with an RN/LVN/PCT team including charge nurses and an admission/discharge support team
Float to sister departments including Ortho Trauma and Inpatient Rehab as needed
Required Qualifications
Active RN license valid in the state of Texas
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience
Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and related clinical skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
Charge nurse experience
Preceptor experience
Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
