RN Rehabilitation - Day and Night Shift

Registered NurseJob Title: Registered NurseProfession: RN (Registered Nurse)Specialty: RehabilitationDuration: 13 weeksShift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours (5:00 am - 5:30 pm)Experience: Minimum of 1 year of inpatient acute rehabilitation experienceLicense: Active RN License requiredCertifications: BLS certification required; rehab certification is a plus; QIM experience preferredMust-Have: Experience in inpatient acute rehabilitation; previous travel experience is highly preferredDescription: The unit accommodates 30 beds with patient-nurse ratios depending on acuity, ranging from 1:6 to 1:8. Common diagnoses include post-operative cases from cardiovascular surgery, falls, knee surgeries, back surgeries, strokes, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson's disease. Some patients may be post-acute COVID for conditioning. PICC lines and ports are managed on this unit. There is no continuous telemetry monitoring on this unit. A charge nurse is present during the day until 11:00 pm and is responsible for night/weekend/holiday coverage. There are 2-3 nursing techs on the unit depending on census, responsible for assisting with ADLs and vital signs, including a dedicated tech for showers. Respiratory therapy equipment such as CPAP and BiPAP can be used if patients have them at home, with assistance for settings provided by respiratory therapy. Weekend and holiday shifts are expected to meet the needs of the unit. Scrubs are to be worn in Caribbean Blue. The charting system in use is EPIC.
