Welder 1st Shift, IMMEDIATE START

Job Title: Welder / Fitter

Shift: 1st (7am - 3:30pm) and 2nd (4:15pm - 2:45am)

The Welder/Fitter is responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints to accurately position, align, and fit metal components prior to welding. This role performs MIG, TIG, and other welding processes to fabricate and assemble parts to precise specifications while maintaining quality and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Study blueprints, assembly instructions, and material lists to plan work activities

Gather required materials, tools, and equipment for each job

Lay out and measure parts and subassemblies according to specifications

Tack weld components to ensure proper fit-up prior to final welding

Perform welding operations (MIG, TIG, and other processes as required)

Inspect completed assemblies to verify dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards

Troubleshoot and resolve fit-up or assembly issues; Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, torches, and material handling equipment

Maintain welding supplies and report inventory needs

Support team operations and assist with additional duties as assigned

Work overtime as required to meet production demands

High School Diploma or GED required

Previous manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred

Knowledge of welding processes, materials, and equipment
