Sunrun is the largest dedicated residential solar and storage company in the country and has a mission to bring stably priced resilient power to the masses.ResponsibilitiesLoads, unloads, sorts, stages and transports product into and out of our Distribution CenterIndividuals in this position must work cooperatively with other Material Handlers, Logistics Specialists, and Warehouse personnel in other branches in a safe, accurate and productive manner with little supervisionAccepts, inspects, and signs for inbound merchandise as necessaryCounts all products, compares to delivery document, and checks for damageReports shortages, damages, and mis-shipments on appropriate forms and to the BuyersEfficiently picks internal and external customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct quantity and type of product is pickedAssembles orders for shipmentCarries or transports orders to shipping location or delivery platforms with material handling equipmentStencils, tags or marks orders as requestedProperly secures loads, ensure loads are within weight limits and packaged securely to minimize damage during transportEnsures outbound shipments are accurate and free of damageFollows company quality guidelinesRepacks and weighs any orders that require such handlingReports quality variancesConducts physical inventories and cycle counts as requiredAssists in resolving any cycle count/inventory discrepanciesMaintains product locator systemMay help with light assembly and record storageMaintains a clean, neat and orderly work areaAssists in maintaining the security of the warehouseConducts operations in a manner that promotes safetyComplies with OSHA and other appropriate standardsFollows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other Material Handlers to do the sameSafely operates forklift or other machinery in order to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting productMaintains equipment in a neat and clean fashionOn a daily basis, inspects equipment that employee has been assignedHas a passion for quality and the accurate processing of product (both inbound and outbound) including maintaining inventory accuracyMakes suggestions for improvements and acts on themWorks cooperatively and productively with Department Heads and other Associates in order to complete tasksCoordinates as necessary with other departments/functions, especially Customer Service, Transportation, Implementation and occasionally the customers themselvesArranges cartons on pallets keeping in mind size and characteristics (i.e., easily crushable, etc.) in mind. Performs labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as neededWorks productively (i.e., receiving product, picking product, packing product etc. at or above the established rate) with little supervisionProvides and inspires outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely mannerCompletes additional duties as assigned by Distribution/Branch ManagementQualificationsA high school diploma or equivalent is requiredMust be eighteen years of age or olderMinimum 6 months experience in a Distribution or Fulfillment warehouse environmentAttendance: Proven record of exceptional attendance and reliabilityInitiative: Ability to think and take constructive action at work without being urged; skill and ability in taking the lead in forwarding new ideas or work methodsSafety Orientation: Demonstrates awareness of company safety policies and procedures; includes ability to identify and report safety hazards, and the ability to encourage others to work safelyAdaptability/Flexibility: Ability to change or adapt work practices, priorities, or procedures or to reschedule activities in response to changing conditions or multiple work demandsTeamwork & Attitude: Ability to work well with others in a group, cooperate with others, offer to help when needed, maintain a positive and collaborative attitude even in challenging situations, and foster a team climate within the group where members are committed to a common goalProblem Solving: Using a systematic and effective approach in analyzing information in order to come up with good business solutions to problemsKnowing the Business: Maintains a high level of knowledge of Distribution Center operations, products, etcMakes an effort to understand our customer, in particular Jobsite and Branch operations that we ship to dailyUnderstands company's values and culture. Understands the impact of inventory accuracy on costs and profitsFoundational Skills: Ability to understand written material and ability to write using correct spelling and punctuation; ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using fractions or decimalsSpecial Requirements: Must have responsible work habits and pass any pre-employment test, drug test, and background checkForklift certifiedAbility to work safely in a warehouse environmentAbility to operate office equipment including computers and determine accuracy of workAbility to interact with co-workers and participate in meetingsAbility to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
