Veterinary Hospital- Full time/ Part Time Vet Position

Are you a compassionate, skilled veterinarian looking to make a difference in emergency and critical care? Join our team at VCA Civano Animal Hospital and Emergency Center, a 24-hour, state-of-the-art emergency and seven-day-a-week general practice hospital that provides comprehensive care for small animals, large animals, and exotics. Your shift will primarily be small animal, with exotics optional. We handle a range of emergencies from routine ear and skin problems to GDV, HBC, GIFB, vomiting, diarrhea, and more complex conditions such as DKA, septic abdomen, and pancreatitis.

Fully equipped ICU and emergency department staffed around the clock

Advanced digital radiography with available consultations with a board‑certified radiologist

Ultrasound and endoscopy capabilities 24/7

In‑house lab equipment including three chemistry analyzers, two CBC machines, coag analyzer, urine analyzer, iCa analyzer, blood gases, and an in‑house digital cytology machine with 24/7 pathologist consults

A diverse caseload including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, large animals and small mammals

As an Emergency Veterinarian

Manage urgent and critical cases with the support of an experienced nursing and technical team

Perform diagnostics and treatments using advanced imaging and in‑house lab equipment

Participate in a rotating schedule including swing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays

Current hospital hours: Full-time preferred but open to part-time

10 or 12-hour shifts available

Rotating swing and overnight shifts

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university or equivalent
