Remote- Master Electrician

Job Purpose The purpose of this position is to perform skilled and semi-skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment; to provide instruction and leadership of subordinate electricians in the absence of the Electrician Supervisor, and to perform related work as required.
Essential Tasks Install, replace, maintain and repair electrical equipment and systems in designated County buildings and facilities, including bulbs, ballasts, circuits, receptacles, pole lights, airport runway/taxiway/apron lights, high voltage equipment, transformers, control panels, switches, photocells, remote controls, relays, contactors, etc.
Install pipes for network lines and other communication lines; run electrical pipes and conduit; install intercom systems.
Add or move various electrical fixtures.
Coordinate and complete electrical hookups for the Township Auditorium facility and shows.
Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and system problems and failures; schedule and perform repair work or parts replacement as necessary.
Assist supervisor in planning and coordinating major installation and maintenance projects as requested.
Provide training, leadership, advice and assistance to co‑workers as needed; ensure that all work orders are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
Assist with mechanical maintenance and repair work as needed.
Maintain assigned tools and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance/repair work completed using the department’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Perform all work in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations and standards of safety and quality; ensure timely completion of all assignments.
Attend training, workshops, meetings, etc., as necessary to enhance job knowledge and skills.
Certifications and Licenses Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
Must possess and maintain, or be able to obtain within one year of the hire date, a Master Electrician certification.
Experience Requirements Requires at least two years of experience in the electrical field.
Physical and Dexterity Requirements Requires medium-to-heavy work that involves walking, standing, stooping, lifting, reaching, pushing or raising objects and also involves exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force on a recurring basis and 50 to 100 pounds of force on an occasional basis. Requires climbing and working from ladders and scaffolds.
Environmental Hazards Potential exposure to bright/dim light, dusts and pollen, extreme heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions, extreme noise levels, vibration, fumes and/or noxious odors, moving machinery, electrical shock, heights, toxic/caustic chemicals.
Compensation Minimum: $23.92 per hour.
