We provide an outstanding opportunity where your contributions help achieve ambitious goals like finding cures for cancer, protecting the environment, and ensuring food safety.Clinical Trial Division at Allentown, PAHow will you make an impact?Your role will be integral to our mission, enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.Education: Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution. 1-3 years experience or 7-10 years in GMP, pharmaceutical, or food.Responsibilities:Apply Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.Focus on continuous improvement through interaction with Engineering and Operations Staff.Collaborate with Production to modify workflows and increase efficiency.Resolve process flow barriers through daily observations and interaction with production personnel.Drive engineering projects to increase machine speeds, reduce labor hours, and reject rates.Standardize machine setups to improve run speed and quality.Apply Six Sigma techniques to improve quality and reduce rejects.Provide and maintain supporting documentation for designs and projects.Manage multiple project engineering assignments with sound project management methodologies.Provide project schedules and specifications to Engineering Management.Provide technical specifications for project designs and machine upgrades.Expertise in process improvement and industrial design applications for a job shop environment.Mechanical and process equipment experience.Ability to multitask and respond to shifting priorities.Proficiency with MS Office and spreadsheet expertise.Preferred experience in food or pharmaceutical packaging.Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and PPI.Proficiency in skills required to read, understand, and adhere to SOPs and policies of a GMP environment.At Thermo Fisher Scientific, every one of our 100,000+ outstanding minds has a special story to share.
