What You'll Actually Do Here

This isn't a "wait five years to second-chair a hearing" kind of job. As an associate at SWA, you'll:

Own cases from intake to resolution. You'll run your own files — not just support someone else's. That means client relationships, strategy, negotiation, and outcomes are yours to drive.

Get real trial experience, early. Depositions, mediations, hearings, and courtroom time aren't things you'll hear about from a partner's war stories — you'll be doing them.

Learn directly from senior trial attorneys. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with attorneys who've built careers in the courtroom, and they'll actually teach you — how to prep a witness, read a room, close a negotiation, and try a case like you mean it.

Build real expertise in workers' compensation and personal injury law. No prior experience in these areas required — just the drive to learn fast and go all-in.

Who We're Looking For

1–4 years of experience — you've got your footing, and you're ready to run

Trial experience preferred — if you've been in a courtroom and want more of it, that's exactly the appetite we're looking for

Licensed to practice law in Kentucky required

Licensed to practice law in Indiana preferred (or eligible for prompt admission) — build a practice across two states with a firm that's actively growing in both

Ambitious, competitive, and coachable — you want to win for your clients, and you're not afraid to put in the work to get there

Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
