Performs HLA Typing of patients and potential donors by molecular based methods. Performs quality control and troubleshooting. Performs the full range of duties from specimen procurement through data analysis and reporting, in order to provide data for use in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of diseases in all areas of the lab. Provide customer service to clients and providers. This position is for AM shift and the candidate will carry pager and be on-call.

Must be able to work variable shifts and overtime as required.

Knowledge of immunology and genetics of HLA system.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Must be flexible with urgent requests.

Must be willing to testify in court regarding testing activities if subpoenaed.

Must possess the computer skills: word and excel.

Must possess the communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written.

Bachelor's degree in science.

Clinical Laboratory Scientist, current CA CLS License.

One-year clinical laboratory experience.

Carry the pager and be on-call rotation.
