Defense Attorney- REMOTE

A nationally recognized defense litigation firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a great opportunity for a motivated attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, sophisticated litigation environment and is interested in handling complex, high-stakes defense matters. The role is fully remote and offers strong potential for long-term conversion. The firm is open to reviewing junior, mid-level, or senior candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a litigation caseload in defense matters, including complex product liability and related civil litigation
Draft, review, and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
Conduct legal research and develop case strategy in coordination with senior attorneys and partners
Handle discovery, including depositions, written discovery, and document review oversight
Participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
Collaborate with trial teams to support case development and courtroom readiness
Maintain strong client communication and support a client-focused litigation approach

Qualifications:
Active California Bar license
Prior experience in litigation defense preferred, but not required
Ability to manage multiple matters independently in a remote environment
Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented litigation structure
