Head of Project Management

Project Management Professional (PMP)Pay Range: $80.00hr - $85.00hrRequirement/Must Have:Active Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.Documented risk management experience.Completion of a Category 1 or 2 project of $5M or more, or completion of a project with a value greater than $10M as PM of record.Solid understanding of software development lifecycle models.Expert knowledge of Agile project management principles and practices.Well-versed with Scrum and Kanban Agile methodologies.Ability to analyze and document business and system processes.Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.Responsibilities:Drive consistent project delivery through the entire project lifecycle, including project plans, release plans, and resource allocation.Manage project risks, scope, schedule, and delivery of value.Coordinate Agile Ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives, Sprint Demos, Story Refinement, and Release Planning.Track and communicate project progress from a schedule, cost, and risk perspective to the project team, stakeholders, and management.Establish an environment where teams can be effective and assist in removing obstacles.Protect the team from outside interruptions and distractions.Ensure a productive relationship between the team, product owner, and external stakeholders.Track and report team velocity and other project metrics.Promote continuous improvement and help teams to increase productivity.Assist the Product Owner and team with Product backlog management.Ensure teams are practicing core Agile, Waterfall, and organizational principles and processes.Adhere to established project management practices as defined by the organization.Nice to Have:Active Commonwealth PM Certification.Experience with SAFe framework.Skills:Project Management.Agile.Scrum.Kanban.SAFe.Waterfall.Risk Management.SDLC.Resource Allocation.Stakeholder Management.Qualification And Education:Active PMP Certification.Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.Ability to set clear performance standards and hold team members accountable.Ability to help Product Owners to create and prioritize Product Backlog.Ability to balance competing demands for quality, scope, schedule, and cost.Strong verbal and written communication skills.
