Litigation Paralegal
Location: Cleveland, OH
Schedule: Hybrid (onsite and remote blend)
Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years

A well‐established civil defense firm in Cleveland is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling Workers Compensation, Insurance Defense, and general civil litigation matters. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing a high‐volume caseload and working in a fast‐paced defense environment.

Responsibilities
• Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including case development, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
• Conduct medical record research, organize and summarize medical documentation, and prepare chronologies
• Coordinate depositions, IMEs, expert communications, and witness preparation
• Manage document production, including reviewing, organizing, and indexing case materials
• Perform legal research and cite checking as needed
• Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and case notebooks
• Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and docketing information
• Communicate with clients, experts, carriers, and opposing counsel
• Assist with billing, time entry, and administrative litigation tasks as needed

Requirements
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of litigation paralegal experience; defense‐side experience preferred
• Background in workers compensation, or insurance defense is a plus
• Strong understanding of medical records, terminology, and litigation workflows
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case or document management systems
• Excellent writing, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and support several attorneys at once
• Professional communication skills and a strong client‐service mindset
