Description

• Tailor individualized treatment plans to meet the communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs of patients.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy that emphasizes communication, fluency, language, and swallowing skills.
• Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team-including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians-to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Provide education and resources to families, empowering them to support patient progress outside of sessions.
• Participate in inpatient evaluations and therapies as required, ensuring a seamless and supportive care experience.
• Document all patient interactions promptly and accurately, adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
