Assistant Residential Manager

General Description Assists the Residential Manager of one residential facility. Works under the direct supervision of the Residential Manager and serves as a role model for all residents and subordinate staff. Responsibilities include assisting with the daily operation, security and safety, general supervision and training, and supporting the facility assigned. Work Hours Monday – Friday, 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and assist subordinate staff in training residents in independent living skills, home management, cooking, cleaning, and socialization, utilizing the work wheel and task analysis. Ensure compliance with DDS regulations and guidelines for the residential services facility. Assist the Residential Manager in maintaining safety and security of the facility. Act as liaison between residents, parents/legal representation, Case Managers, and Waiver/DDS officials. Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and maintain records such as attendance, drills, maintenance, workbooks, 1910's, etc. Coordinate mediation, investigations, and disciplinary actions with appropriate personnel. Manage purchasing and inventory of supplies for staff and residents. Complete incident reports and behavior reports and relay them to appropriate personnel. Assist in overseeing medication management program and coordinate with MD/LPN/RN and contracted pharmacy. Supervise the training of residents toward independence and placement. Identify training and work opportunities for individuals served by maintaining relationships with funding sources and attending training seminars. Assist in supervising and training Residential/Waiver supportive living employees, provide input for performance evaluations, and coordinate payroll, schedules, time worked, vacation and leave accrual. Offer suggestions and feedback to workers providing supportive living services to ensure quality care. Review cases and focus on recipients’ progress toward goals and objectives established in the Plan of Care, coordinating schedules for both Waiver and generic service categories. Monitor all supportive living services as assigned. Maintain accurate records for client money management, bills and audit trails as required. Process paperwork for clients moving in or out, verify documents, and manage HUD files and other housing-related duties. Follow Pathfinder policies, state regulations, CARF, DDS, HUD, Waiver regulations and other licensing requirements necessary for quality of care. Serve as the Residential Manager in their absence. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED plus 2 years of related experience and/or training, and 7 to 11 months of related management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Background Check Must be able to pass applicable background checks and drug screen. Any offer of employment will be based on the results of background checks and drug screen.
