Certifications Needed: BLS, ACLS, ONS Chemo Cert (required); NIHSS (preferred)

Experience: Minimum 2 years overall nursing experience, 1+ year inpatient hematology/oncology experience, chemo certification

What You'll Do

• Administer chemotherapy and related treatments following safety protocols
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to changes
• Manage blood products, IV therapies, and central line care
• Use telemetry equipment to interpret dysrhythmias and monitor patient status
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Follow infection prevention and fall prevention protocols
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic charting system

What You Need

• Valid Ohio RN license or ability to obtain
• BLS, ACLS, and ONS Chemo Certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year inpatient hematology/oncology experience
• Skills in telemetry, IV management, blood product administration, and central line care
• Ability to work independently and adapt to variable schedules and unit needs

About the Assignment This assignment is based at a high-volume medical unit specializing in acute leukemia and hematology care, primarily for adult and geriatric patients. The unit manages complex blood disorders, requiring precise administration of blood products, electrolytes, and IV antibiotics. The team prioritizes infection prevention, patient safety, and quality outcomes.
