Cath Lab TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technician with experience in administering and monitoring conscious sedation, as well as assessing and monitoring the clinical status of patients. The ideal candidate will possess theoretical and practical knowledge of medications used in the Cath Lab, understand radiation safety, infection control, and hemodynamic support, and be adept at communicating with the patient care team, patients, and their families.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and monitor conscious sedation for patients undergoing procedures.Assess and monitor the clinical status of patients before, during, and after procedures.Utilize knowledge of medications relevant to the Cath Lab effectively and safely.Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols.Implement infection control procedures to maintain a sterile environment.Provide hemodynamic support as required during procedures.Communicate effectively with the patient care team, patients, and their families.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of relevant experience.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).Experience with cardiac diagnostic and intervention procedures, implantable devices, electrophysiology (EP) mapping and ablation, vascular diagnostic and intervention, and interventional radiology.Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly EPIC and Merge.Work EnvironmentPosition located in a community hospital setting featuring two Cath Lab procedure rooms and five holding bays for pre/post care. The facility has a total of 226 beds and operates as a non-profit organization.Scheduling InformationNo weekend rotation; weekends are covered by call only.On-call responsibilities include approximately every fourth weekend from Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM and one call per week from the end of the shift until 7:00 AM the next morning.Shift hours are from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.Navy scrubs will be provided for the position.If you are passionate about providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
