Business Development Manager - Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Air Force/Space ForceADS, Inc. began more than 20 years ago by outfitting Navy SEALS with quality dive equipment, and today we're proud to manage 3,000 supplier partnerships and over 50,000 products.Job Title: Business Development Manager - Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Air Force/Space ForceLocation: ADS Headquarters (Virginia Beach, VA) / Remote locations consideredResponsibilities:Engaging and establishing long-term sales and service solutions within the FMS Air Force/Space Force program officesAnalyzing market trends, gather intelligence, new requirements, and program inceptionsCreating new solutions in response to market changesManaging a strong sales pipelineRepresent ADS with program offices, logistics consolidation points and respective contracting offices across all territories assignedResearch and develop business within assigned program office and related accountsResearch and identify opportunities for business development upstream from current active accountsIdentify program needs and objectivesIdentify initial purchases and priorities, manufacturers, product categories and technologiesIdentify preferred and/or optimal means of procurementUnderstand FMS and office specific processes and mirror them wherever possibleUnderstand and articulate how contracts are formatted to FMS processesStructure complete solution based on specifics of different FMS case typesUnderstand FMS post-order due diligence and be able to articulate it to all levels of customer hierarchyServe as the lead for all large-scale solicitationsEngage and establish long term sales and service solutionsMarket/Industry analysisAnalyze market trends, new requirements, new program inceptionsKeep up to date on world eventsGather intelligenceCreate new solutions in response to market changesRequirements:5 years minimum of Military/DOD Sales experience Specifically within International Commercial sales preferredPosition requires candidate to have legal access under US laws to export-controlled information5 years of experience with MS Office tools, email, etc.Must demonstrate willingness to learn and adopt ADS selling techniquesMust be capable of cultivating and strengthening existing relationships while still identifying new customersBachelor's degree highly preferred, but prior sales & military experience may be substituteMust be friendly and likeable comfortable talking to "anyone"Must be competitive and have a winning spiritMust be a team player and work well with othersMust be utterly committed to providing legendary customer serviceDesired Qualifications:Understanding of the Government Acquisition process and contractingProfessional & polished demeanorAbility to identify and capitalize on opportunitiesFlexibility and organizational skillsGood grammar and writing skillsAttention to detailAble to work well under pressureExcellent communications skills - ability to build rapport and trust Strong negotiation skillsWork Environment:Extensive travel required (50-75% or 2-3 weeks of every month)Occasional weekends, holidays, and after business hoursSalary Range: $72,500 to $145,000The salary range represents the base compensation range for this role. The actual compensation will be determined based on a candidate's education, experience, and skills. In addition to base compensation, full-time employees in this role are eligible for commission, which is uncapped, and based on performance.ADS provides a comprehensive benefits program to eligible employees.
