Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Experience 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months. 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months. Experience with Epic is preferred. Requirements Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission). This role may require floating to additional units and locations Local & travel allowed. Additional Details Required Skills/Experience:First-time travelers accepted dependent on experience; must have strong Med-Surg background.Experience reading telemetry strips. Unit Details:General medicine population including DM, GI, respiratory, renal, wounds/dressing changes, chest tubes, trachs, and lab draws.Chest tubes, trachs, PIV starts, drains/tubes, and PCA pumps.Gtt management includes Amiodarone (occasionally), Fentanyl PCA, Ketamine PCA, Dilaudid PCA, and Heparin.Support includes CNA and receptionist/HUC coverage, rapid response team, RT 24/7, hospitalist 24/7, and intensivist 24/7.Routine phlebotomy support; RNs responsible for STAT draws.No IV/VAT team.Centralized telemetry; sign strips each shift.Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, Phillips vital sign equipment, and lifts. Shift & Scheduling:Every other weekend.Travelers will work 75% of holidays.On-call: none.
