Our engineers still reason from first principles; AI helps with execution.We're looking for teammates within commutable distance of our NYC or SF offices (or willing to relocate). The team works in-office Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus one additional flexible day.What You'll DoOwn features and systems end-to-end across the full stack, from backend architecture to the interfaces users interact with every dayPartner with product, design, and finance experts to shape what we build — advocating for the right technical tradeoffs and keeping the customer perspective centralRaise the bar for engineering quality: continuous delivery, test-driven development, production reliability, and a culture of ownershipGrow the team around you through code reviews, mentorship, and hands-on collaborationWho We're Looking For5+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record on complex, large-scale projectsStrong backend fundamentals and willingness to jump into frontend when neededComfortable making technical decisions and navigating hard tradeoffs at whatever scope your role demandsStrong product instincts — you think about user impact, not just technical correctnessEnergized by building in a fast-moving environment where the playbook is still being writtenBonus PointsExperience in fintech, ERP, or accounting softwareHands-on experience with Kotlin, Java, or TypeScript,Familiarity with enterprise readiness (SOC 2, SSO/SAML, audit logging, or similar)The base salary for this role ranges from $150,000 to $270,000, plus equity and benefits. Exact compensation depends on your skills, experience, location, and background, and the range may be adjusted over time.
