Company Overview

We are a Utah- and Nevada-based emerging technology start-up company seeking an experienced Chief Marketing Officer. Our company has developed a technology that increases the efficiency of Solar Operations from 8% to 12%.  Our proprietary technology is designed to reduce energy consumption requirements for large-scale data storage and mining operations by approximately 10%–50%.

The company is currently finalizing partnership agreements with nationally recognized commercial developers for the construction of an initial two facilities ranging from 10 MW to 100 MW, with planned expansion capacity exceeding 2 GW.

Position Summary

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will be responsible for developing and executing the company's overall marketing, branding, communications, investor awareness, and business development strategies. The CMO will play a critical leadership role in positioning the company as a recognized innovator in renewable energy, data center infrastructure, AI computing, and cryptocurrency mining technologies.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience generating strategic partnerships, developing lead-generation campaigns, managing public relations initiatives, and supporting capital formation efforts. This executive will work closely with the CEO, executive leadership team, investors, developers, technology partners, and industry stakeholders to accelerate growth and market adoption of the company's proprietary technologies.

Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing Leadership

• Develop and execute the company's comprehensive marketing and branding strategy.
• Establish market positioning for the company's proprietary energy-efficiency and infrastructure technologies.
• Build brand awareness across renewable energy, data center, AI, and cryptocurrency mining sectors.
• Create long-term marketing roadmaps aligned with company growth objectives.
• Support market expansion into new geographic regions and industry verticals.

Brand Development and Corporate Communications

• Develop and maintain corporate branding standards and messaging.
• Oversee creation of marketing materials, presentations, brochures, videos, and digital content.
• Manage corporate communications and public relations initiatives.
• Develop thought leadership campaigns to position the company as an industry innovator.
• Coordinate media relations, press releases, interviews, and speaking opportunities.
• Ensure consistency of messaging across all internal and external communications.

Business Development and Lead Generation

• Develop and implement lead-generation strategies targeting enterprise customers and strategic partners.
• Support sales efforts through marketing campaigns, market research, and customer outreach.
• Build relationships with commercial developers, energy providers, infrastructure partners, and technology companies.
• Identify new market opportunities and strategic partnership initiatives.
• Support customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.

Investor Relations and Capital Markets Support

• Assist executive leadership with investor presentations and fundraising materials.
• Develop marketing strategies that enhance investor awareness and corporate visibility.
• Support communications with potential investors, strategic partners, and financial institutions.
• Coordinate marketing initiatives related to capital formation activities.
• Assist with preparation of corporate presentations, executive summaries, and market positioning materials.

Digital Marketing and Demand Generation

• Oversee website development, search engine optimization (SEO), and digital marketing initiatives.
• Manage social media strategy and online brand presence.
• Develop email marketing, content marketing, and advertising campaigns.
• Monitor campaign performance and optimize marketing effectiveness.
• Utilize analytics and customer data to improve lead generation and customer engagement.

Industry Events and Market Presence

• Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, industry forums, and networking events.
• Coordinate event participation, sponsorships, and speaking engagements.
• Build relationships with industry associations and key stakeholders.
• Develop strategies to increase company visibility within target markets.

Market Research and Competitive Analysis

• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments.
• Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and customer needs.
• Analyze competitor positioning and develop strategies for differentiation.
• Provide executive leadership with market intelligence and strategic recommendations.

Team Leadership and Management

• Build and lead internal and external marketing teams.
• Manage agencies, consultants, media partners, and marketing vendors.
• Develop departmental budgets and marketing performance metrics.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure marketing effectiveness.
• Foster a high-performance marketing culture aligned with company objectives.

Qualifications

·  Minimum 10+ years of experience in executive marketing, business development, branding, or corporate communications roles.

·  Proven experience developing and executing successful marketing strategies for growth-stage or technology companies.

·  Strong background in brand development, digital marketing, public relations, and lead generation.

·  Experience supporting investor relations, fundraising initiatives, or capital market communications.

·  Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships and drive business growth.

·  Experience managing marketing budgets, agencies, and cross-functional teams.

·  Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

·  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Location

Utah and Nevada (hybrid travel expected)

Compensation

$250,000+ annual salary.  Compensation package to be discussed based on experience, qualifications, and potential equity participation and incentives.
